Why does my dog do this?
I have a teacup chihuahua and she always barks and acts like she wants up on the couch but when I reach down to get her, she backs away and stares at me. Why????

sorry to burst your bubble but you don't have a teacup chihuahua(they don't exist)

No such thing as a teacup chihuahua, it's just a chihuahua (akc breed standard). Check to see if she has water, and food, try tossing a toy, or maybe letting outside. She wants something, just not getting on the couch.

If you are reaching down, over her, with your hand over her head, she might see that as an aggressive move. Try reaching with your hand below her face, palm up and open. That might make her more comfortable.

They have little dog syndrome- its when a little dog tries to take control of there owner. BTW teacup chiwawas are extinct/don't exist anymore.
