Need evidence that the Pro-Bowl is meaningless? Why is Jeff Saturday a Pro-Bowler?

We benched him for Evan Dietrich-Smith for goodness sake!

I totally agree, the Pro Bowl is a popularity contest.

I can understand players like Tony Gonzalez who have their names established but can still play at a high level, but Saturday is washed up.

Jeff Saturday was pretty decent in Indy, but he has been terrible for the Packers. The Pro Bowl is just a popularity contest.

    Yeah

But the fact that 5 Chiefs made it makes the "popularity contest" excuse a little shaky.

I feel like how the players performed last year prove that it's meaningless. They barely tried and it was obvious they didn't want to be there.

More evidence: JPP is starting with 6.5 sacks and hasn't had one since November 3rd.

Some players get in for reputation not merit. It's what happens when you let fans vote, they vote for names they recognize.

Yeah but no ray lewis *destroys all evidence*

Henry Melton made it, even more evidence.
