Does any one know how to connect a cisco E 1000 router to a Desk top computer modem ?.?

    Do you mean a DSL or cable modem? Or do you mean a modem inside the computer? The external units are easy, disconnect the Ethernet line from the back of the computer, connect that to the WAN port on the router. Then connect an Ethernet line from any of the LAN ports on the router to the Ethernet port on the computer! If you have an internal computer modem you simply don't connect a router!
