Best noise reduction headphones for flying with tinnitus?

I find in-ear headphones uncomfortable and almost never use them, so I have a pair of Bose QC2 around-ear headphones (the predecessor to the QC15) and they're great for flying, though I don't know what they're like with tinnitus. They also last pretty well. The part that wears out the fastest, the foam ear cups, is replaceable. I've had the same pair for at least 6 years, replaced the ear cups twice and the headphone cord once (I use them all the time, not just for flying).
