3D external monitor on Alienware Laptop?

So I have a Alienware M14x with a Nvidia GT 650M gpu which says it is 3D ready. My laptop screen is not 3D but I have a HDMI and VGA out on my laptop. So I was wondering if i bought a 3D monitor like this one (http://www.bestbuy.com/site/LG+-+23%22+3D+Widescre... would I be able to connect to it and run 3D games, also how well would it run and would it damage my cpu or put strain on it. Thanks!

    yes it will run and don't worry all the strain will be taken by your dedicated gpu i.e NVidia gt...
