Should keeping my FM Transmitter plugged in my car cause it to not start?
I just bought the transmitter so that I can play music from my phone in my car. I keep it plugged in. My car almost didn't start the same day I bought it. I have never had this issue before. I now unplug it when I get out. When the car is off I thought it no longer was draining the battery so it should not be doing this. If anybody knows the answer please let me know what you think.

Unplug it...
With most cars the cigarette lighter outlet stays powered when the ignition's off.
Clean the battery connections or get a new battery.
Sandpaper the posts and the insides of the clamps.
Consider a new battery, you can't save much by waiting. You can be stranded.
After 4 - 5 years and a couple times being dead... a car battery is trash.
Sure it will start the car, but not below freezing, and not if anything is left on even for a few hours.
You want to be able to park it at say, an airport for 2 weeks, and trust it to start.

is the fm transmitter connected to your music device or your car?
if it is connected to your device, it is just a coincidence that your car isnt starting so look into a new battery
if it is conected to your car, and your car will not start multiple times, that means it is draining your battery

This shouldn't be causing your car to not start, but do what makes you comfortable, personally I don't like leaving anything plugged in while not in use,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
