Did I Actually Have the Flu or Am I Pregnant?

A little over two weeks ago now I came down with flu-like symptoms-- aches, fatigue, chills, headache, head congestion, runny nose, nausea, vomiting, and loss of appetite. I didn't really have a sore throat or horrible cough though and the weird thing is that my husband never seemed to get sick.

I'm still feeling really worn down but now I'm also experiencing nausea from the moment I wake up until about 3 in the afternoon and then I'm suddenly super ravenous in the evenings (the other night I made a grilled cheese with pickles and ketchup at 10 PM and proceeded to have indigestion all night). I'm also experiencing hot flashes, slight cramping, food and smell aversions, back pain, weepiness, and gagging. I'm very sensitive to smells right now too and seem to be able to smell things no one else can or from far away.

The weird thing is, I've taken those First Response tests but they're coming out negative.

I'm due for my period in 3 days... anyone else ever experienced these symptoms before they found out they were pregnant and can First Response be innacurate early on?

It sounds like you really could be pregnant. Sometimes those home pregnancy tests are inaccurate prior to your missed period. Wait and take one in a few days. When I took mine, it wasn't until 1 or 2 days before my period was due when a faint line finally appeared.
