How to stop binge eating/eating too much?
I am an extreme binge eater.
Whenever I start eating, I just can't seem to stop.
Does anyone have any advice, is there any medication I can take (I am legitimately diagnosed with Binge Eating Disorder, I'm not just looking for an "easy way out pill")
Let me clarify a bit, what I'm talking about is not as much a "I eat when I'm bored, and to solve this, I should just distract myself until cravings go away or etc."
I've already been able to control myself from eating mindlessly/when not necessary.
HOWEVER, I still have to eat. And my problem is, when I start, it's really hard to stop.
Even when I'm full, I still want to eat more. Yes, I recognize I am full, but for some reason I still want to eat. There have been several times where I am actually painfully full from binging, but yet I still want more food!
Once I finally pull myself away from food I am fine.
Honestly, I'm even afraid to have snacks because I know once I eat that snack I'll want more.
Right now I'm kind of sticking to the minimum number of meals a day to prevent eating too much.
I really don't know what to do. Does anyone have any advice to stop themselves from binging too much? Or have any recommendations on medicine or anything else?
Thank you.
-And just a note, I'm actually pretty healthy for the most part. I exercise a lot, and most of the time I eat very healthy. However, my parents who I live with are extremely UNHEALTHY, and whenever I'm on a binge, I'll reach for their unhealthy foods. That's when the problem begins...

Before you snack try drinking some water because often times the brain confuses thirst and hunger. And I do mean water not juice or any other beverage. Also when you do eat be sure not to devourer your food in 5 minutes. If you eat really face you may still feel hungry because your brain hasn't received the signal that you are full yet. Hope this helps good luck
P.S if you aren't supplying your body with proper nutrients or enough food ( only snacking and not eating meals, or eating a significant amount under your daily calorie needs you will always be hungry).

I just answered a question exactly like this so truly. Drink extra water, devour slower, and use small plates. Keep away from the kitchen and get busy (stay occupied) chew gum and brush your enamel and play video games or some thing to occupy your arms.

Have a thinspo. A thinspo is a picture or a saying that makes you think before you eat. And it is also for weightloss. For the weighloss its a picture of your dream body.
