im currently using a GENERIC 600w psu..(i read from some articles that a generic psu can only handle 250w of power, dont know if its true :(.. I play games like bf3, skyrim, assassins creed3, black ops 2 and run it in high settings
judging from my specs and heavy gaming,do i need to buy a non-generic/branded psu like hec, huntkey etc? or continue using my generic psu?

I'd use a branded 650W PSU, should be more than enough. Also, 4GB RAM is plenty. If you use task manager, it is evident that consumer applications (including games) don't even come close to using all that.
