Delivered to my post office?

My girlfriends birthday is coming up in a few more weeks, and I want to surprise her with this very beautiful necklace I found online. When i'm ordering something online, is it possible to have it shipped to my local post office and then I can pick it up from there? Or is that not possible. I just wanted to try my best to keep it a surprise until her big B day comes. :)

If that's not possible, are there any other options I have?

Thanks a bunch guys and girls.

That is not something that the USPS does. A couple of things you can do to get around that. You can apply for General Delivery service. The Postmaster would have to approve the request and you would file a Change of Address to redirect your mail there.

A better option may be to put a hold order on your mail. The minimum is 3 days. You can do that online at usps.com and choose the option to pick up your accumulated mail at the end of the hold period.

Even Postal Workers are not permitted to have any personal mail delivered to their work facility.

Supply is not a predicament, but when anything goes incorrect and it can't make it to its destination, it has to head to Mail recovery for secondary handling. The letter will likely be opened to verify if there's a return tackle inside; otherwise, the object is shredded.
