How do I spring this divorce?
She's gotten an immense amount of attitude recently, hangs up and screams all the time, pretty much married to a teenager. Not interested in spreading much more of my business but I am final on leaving her. My new living situation won't be setup until may though. How should I spring it on her?
I was thinking something funny, like saying I got her a present and it's on her pillow, then there are divorce papers

my friend, this is no laughing matter. I've been through an ugly divorce. 1 thing you do not want to do is to make a joke out of it by telling her that you got her a present.
I would spring it on her by asking her... sit down I need to talk to you. then tell her what you need just to say in a respectful manner without being too sarcastic, and you can present the summons to her. be direct, be matter of fact, and don't joke about it. and try to keep it as impersonal as possible.
I can totally relate to the yelling on the phone thing. my ex wife Maria who now lives in Fort Lauderdale, verbally abuses me everytime we talk on the phone.

No do the kindest thing just leave one day and never return she will eventually cope.
a clean break is the best way, completely.
