I was reading about tinnitus the other day , and what you said is true ... it does make it worse because of the noise cancelling .. its because the ear is not made to listen to isolated sounds , and all that the noise cancelling headphones do is isolate the sounds you're listening too (wether its music or just any other sound) Tinnitus is serious problem, not only physical, but it can also cause mental health problems , like anxiety and paranoia

I've read on a few websites/forums they can spike tinnitus and make it worse/louder. Is this true? I've bought some Bose QC-3 headphones as I do a lot of long haul flying and I think they are making my tinnitus worse, but I don't want to make it worse by wearing these type of noise...
