This question was retarded right?

"If dinosaurs were created before humans how do we know they were called dinosaurs before humans?

I responded by pretty much saying humans give things names....without humans nothing would have a name....but that it would not change their existence.

I just thought the questionnaire was trying to sound like a philosopher but ended up sounding really dumb.

He said "I can never tell if you are being serious or sarcastic". Sadly, with people like this in the world, neither can I.

    This question was retarded right?

    ~~~ Define 'retarded', clearly, and then just tell us how you don't qualify?
    If being 'retarded' means 'slower than others', we all qualify!
    Is it merely a pejorative term uttered to make someone else feel bad about who they are?
    "If dinosaurs were created before humans how do we know they were called dinosaurs before humans?
    ~~~ The simple response might have been; "called dinosaurs" by whom, if there were no humans?

    There are many 'stupid', 'asinine' questions, 'poorly thought out', littering this site!

    On the other hand, this site is for philosophical "questions" and answers, and that you have wasted our space and our time with this self-serving retarded asinine poorly thought out crap!

    (What do you think? Should we retire the word?)

    Philosophy is 'critical thought';

    They were only created hours before humans.

    Obviously Adam and Eve didn't call them by the modern word dinosaur, which derives from Greek words.

    Dinosaurs were created on day 6 along with all the other land animals, including Adam and Eve.

    Those that think the dinosaurs died out millions of years ago are perhaps unaware of the large amount of evidence indicating that they lived recently alongside man.

    There are many written accounts and depictions of dinosaurs.

    Remember that the word dinosaur was invented in 1841. Before that people used names like dragon.

    People from all over the world have accounts of dinosaurs: the Chinese who have incorporated it into their lunar calendar, The Welsh who have the dragon in their flag; The account of the Saxon Beowolf; The native american thunderbird; and other stories from many other nations. The Romans even made mosaics of them. The temple of Angkor in Cambodia has a carving that is clearly a Stegosaur – presumably 800 years ago it was a familiar animal to them. http://creation.com/angkor-saw-a-stegosaur

    The Bible (the book of Job) has graphic descriptions of two creatures (Leviathan and Behemoth) which do not exists today and are almost certainly what we would now call dinosaurs. The Behemoth had a tail like a cedar tree.

    In the Old Testament, the Hebrew word תנין , tanniyn, appears some 15 times—some

    modern English translations translate it as ‘monster’, ‘serpent’ or ‘jackal’, while in

    the King James Bible the word ‘dragon’ is used. Tanniyn could refer, at least in some

    contexts, to large reptiles/dinosaurs.

    Furthermore, dinosaur fossils have even been found containing blood cells - hardly 65 million years old.

    But check the evidence for yourself - don't by brainwashed by dogmatic evolutionists who don't want us to think for ourselves :)

    Why do you post this question in order to show us an example of how people can be via another question, when there are many of those type in this site?

    I think that you just want to show us an example right? Or not?

    Sorry, just my mind going crazy again lol. Yeah, people can be dumb sometimes, but I also am skeptic about it, that the user wanted to sound like a "thinker".

    Lol or maybe just people being people in the internet.

    Source(s): Still, is this question supposed to mean another thing? Lol anything I say is made on the stop, nevermind.

    Questions can't be "retarded" and use of this term is offensive to people who know and love mentally handicapped people. Also, a "questionnaire" is a formal list containing numerous questions and not a person asking a question.

    --If you're going to mock the intelligence of others you should really make sure you're not revealing your own lack in the process. And so you're not confused, I'm not being sarcastic.

    LMAOO XD ! YA that's a dumb question. Unless it was just to test or trick you but other than that its stupid . Your response seems fine to me , I don't think its sarcastic but it may have came off that way because of how silly the question was ..

    Maybe he was seeing if there was some bully logged in who tries to embarass others, "pants"ing them by re-posting their question for ridicule
