my daughter had colic for a year straight. we ended up having to put her on soy formula. Warm baths with me sitting in the tub with her helped, at 1 month she was always constipated and our pediatrican recommended substituting pedialtye for 2 to 3 feedings a day to let her body digest. Her scheudule was 3 oz every 3 hours until she was 8 months old otherwise she would spit the entire thing up. Also get some gripe water and infant mylcon gas drops, helped us a lot. The most helpful baby equipment we had was her vibrating chair. We bought the fisherprice infant to toddler rocker vibrating chair. She slept in it almost every night as the vibrations helped sooth her stomach and it would recline back a little ways so she was still up a little bit but also laying down at the same time. Music is another thing that helped her moods. She loved hard rock music like metallica, I am not saying play hard rock for your kid cause all kids are different,my best friend's colic baby loved country. However vibrating chair, gripewater, baths and music saved us.

My oldest son had colic real bad and it was worse at night. I held him on his tummy in my arms and it helped a little more. He had colic until he was between 2 - 3 months.
