Jack Black proclaimed Led Zeppelin as the greatest rock and roll band of all time! Do you agree with him?

No, I don't agree with him! Led Zeppelin is NOT better than either The Beatles or The Rolling Stones! The Rolling Stones are the greatest rock and roll band in the world! The Stones have been recording and touring for 50 years now and have been around much longer than Led Zeppelin, who recorded 9 albums of original material, the last being 1982's Coda. For 50 years, the Rolling Stones have released over 100 singles, over two dozen studio albums, as well as numerous compilation and live albums!

The Beatles are the best-selling band in history! As of 2012, they hold the record for most number one hits on the Hot 100 chart with 20. And the Beatles have sold 177 million units in the US, which is more than any other artist.

Both, The Beatles and the Rolling Stones, should've gotten honored by the Kennedy Center before Zeppelin.

While Led Zeppelin is absolutely one of the most remarkable bands of rock s golden era, Jack Black s comments have to be taken in context. As someone else commented, Black is a comedian, and he was "playing to the audience." Anyone with a true grip on The Golden Age of Rock n Roll knows where Zeppelin stands in a pecking order that would include The Beatles or Stones, even others like Aerosmith, Deep Purple, Springsteen, The Eagles, Yes, Frank Zappa, Hendrix, Beach Boys......a virtually endless list of "great" Greats. But is Zeppelin a great band? Absolutely!!

No, I don't agree! He's a comedian and I think he was just trying to be funny! He couldn't possibly have been serious, could he? The Beatles, Rolling Stones, and also Aerosmith, all should've been honored before Led Zeppelin! Also, what about Creedence Clearwater Revival and Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young? None of them have been honored either. Makes me wonder, if in order to get this honor, they have to agree to show up at the Kennedy Center.

I think they are better than the Beatles and The Rolling Stones..

Led Zeppelin is definatley one of the best rock bands of all time in my opinion.. I love Led Zeppelin. :)

Many people believe The Beatles are the greatest band of all time. I don't think they were musically that stronger so gotta agree, Led Zeppelin are the greatest band ever.

If there were no Who, Yardbirds and Small Faces, there would be no Zeppelin. Zep borrowed alot

from other artists (blues and folk) and turned it into their own terms without giving hardly any credit.

Even though Zep were studio session musicians before they met, the band didn't write songs for

other artists the way the Beatles did.

I like them better than The Beatles or The Stones, but they ripped off loads of people, so much of the material from their first 2 albums is stolen.

It is tough... it depends on what era you grew up in..

There will always be the Beatles... it is impossible to discount them...

But in my generation... meaning that I was 16 in 69' yes...

Led Zeppelin is the greatest rock band of my time...

For me they are what every band since is compared too and against...

Betles is very overrated, they get the nod because of how prolfic john lennon was as an actvist. Zepplin is so much better than any band that ever existed.
