Is the Southern vampires books different from the True blood series?
I'm going to buy a lot of the southern vampire books, and I was wondering, how different is the books from the show? Which is better ? Are the characters the same? I've read that Tara is a lot different from the books in the show, is that true? I just wanted a heads up, thanks! :)

The characters are basically the same, and yes Tara is TOTALLY different. The first couple episodes are pretty much word for word what happens in the book, but once the Maenad (in the show) comes on, that's when they start to differ, and then they pretty much don't follow the original story line very well. But I really liked the books, so I hope you enjoy them! :D
