Ellen white prophet or false prophet?
There are many many critics that claim Mrs White has made false prophecies,
And that she actually changed
or added to Holy Scripture.
"Every word of GOD is tried by fire...add not anything to His Words,
lest you be reproved, AND FOUND A LIAR." Proverbs 30:5-6
But there are also many who say-
It is not a contradiction to give more information or details than the previous account (that is one of the purposes of prophets). Ellen White in no way denies or contradicts what the Bible says, she is just giving more information. All subsequent prophets would be "contradicting" Moses if we judged them this way.
Is she one of the false prophets the bible warns against? Or could she really be a true prophet?
What do you think?

I believe that Ellen White is a false prophet although she is widely accepted as one by the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
"What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it." Deuteronomy 12:32.
How are we to know a false prophet? By holding -"To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them." Isaiah 8:20.

i'm no longer likely to preserve her as a prophet yet you have twisted what she became bearing on. She suggested there will be a international Sunday regulation surpassed which all would be forced to maintain and basically people who refused to maintain it does no longer acquire the mark of the beast. the actuality that no such decree has yet been surpassed does no longer make this a faux prophecy. Paul additionally stated time being short so via the standards you have set in proclaiming her a faux prophet, Paul might additionally be a faux prophet. edit: No, she did no longer say those issues might take place for the time of her lifetime. there is yet another prophecy that she made which pronounced that some who have been alive decrease back interior the 1800's does no longer see loss of life and it fairly is extremely disconcerting however the occasion you have shown isn't it. edit2: Suzanne, you have no longer have been given any thought what i think or the point of my coaching. You and that i could disagree on particular issues yet I even have not at all been insulting in the direction of you. i'm upset.

Jesus warned that in the end times there would be false prophets (Matt 24:11). In order for there to be false prophets there must also be true prophets, otherwise Jesus simply would have said that there would be no prophets and warn us against listening to anyone who claims to have a message from God.
Paul also counseled us to test those who claim to be prophets. "Despise not prophesyings. Prove all things; hold fast that which is good." (1 Thess 5:20, 21). The only way we can judge a true prophet from a false one is to learn what they have to say and test it against the Bible. "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them." (Isa 8:20).
My suggestion is that you read the writings of Ellen White and compare it with scripture. This is the only way to know if she truly was a messenger of God or just another false prophet. I personally have not found that she ever contradicts scripture, but rather she magnifies it. Many dislike her purely because she says that we need to be obedient to God and keep His commandments.
Study prayerfully for yourself and make up your own mind, dont let me or anyone else make up your mind for you. "...work out your own salvation with fear and trembling" (Phil 2:12).

A channel whose present-day personality - like most - "colored" messages received. She was definitely prolific.
One should always validate any new teachings against one's inner (real) Soul-Self ("go within"). Many don't know how to do this, but all will eventually. This is the case with almost all who've yet to achieve superconscious Self-Awareness; they might receive "messages", but if asked for clarification they can only reconcile or elaborate based on their current contextual understanding of the present-day environment.
Examples:
1. She advised vegetarianism ahead of her time. Is this of Divine origin? Maybe/maybe not, but many intuitively understand the benefits without having to be told directly by Absolute Autarchy ("God") that the recommendation has definite health benefits for the gross material body. We now know that if cancer patients engage, aggressively, in a whole green "living food" diet, they can overcome the physical condition.
2. In one of her visions, she reports she saw "Advent people" traveling a high and dangerous path towards the city of New Jerusalem. Many questions could be asked here. What was "New Jerusalem"? What are "Advent people" when Joshua Immanuel the Christ teaches "Ye are gods, and Children of the Most High" (all human beings, not just "Advent people") in Psalm, Acts, and Matthew?
In short, one must always be mindful of several factors, e.g. clarity of the present-day personality, clarity of the message and benchmarking these against the masters, e.g. The Christ, the Buddha, etc.
Hope this helps...
