How do I delete ebooks from my Nook?

I signed into my Barnes and Noble account online using a computer and deleted some books that I no longer wanted. When I go online and look at my library the deleted books are no longer there but on my nook they are still there. My Nook is plugged into a computer with the USB cord. Is it because the computer does not run on wi-fi that my nook has not deleted the books? If I go to a place with wi-fi will my nook not show the deleted books anymore? Thank you so much.

    You can delete the books directly from your nook.
