He is asking for a lot money, and considering he just got off his 2nd Tommy John surgery, no team wants to take a gamble on him.

A pitchers chances of bouncing back successfully from a 2nd Tommy John surgery is 60%. Would you pay someone 8million dollars per year on a 60% chance that he'll perform well?

He's odd to say the least. I could see how he wouldn't be a fit on a lot of teams.

    - He's coming off Tommy John surgery, and this is his second one. Chances are he won't be back until mid-season. if at all, and his chances of pitching well are even worse. Not to mention the fact that he relies almost exclusively on his mid to high 90s fastball to get outs. There's a good chance his velocity will be down, so how will he get outs? He lacks any sort of good breaking or offspeed pitches.

-He wants a lot of money and/or a closer role. What team in their right mind would give Wilson either of those? If he would accept less he would be wise just to re-sign with the Giants.

-His 2011 was less than impressive. Compared to 2010 his K/9 went from 11.2 to 8.8, his BB/9 went from 3.1 to 5.1, his WHIP went from 1.179 to 1.473, and his ERA rose almost a point and a half. These all had me worried before the 2012 season even started, even if he's healthy he's already shown signs that his best years are behind him.

I'm sure he'll get a job somewhere, but it won't come close to the salary or the role he's looking for.

Because he is coming off a 2nd Tommy John surgery and a lot of teams are skittish about signing someone who just had another major arm surgery.

If Brian Wilson plays in 2013, he is more than likely going to sign a minor league contract with an invite to camp.

He's had two Tommy John surgeries, and he's probably looking for "closer" money. Besides, his eccentricities might be a turn-off to some owners.

    - He's asking for more money than he's worth.

    - He won't take a deal unless he's guaranteed a closer role.

    - He's still recovering from Tommy John surgery.

    - He barely pitched last season, so there is some doubt about how well he'll do when he does take the mound.

He's a bit of a nut job coming off major arm surgery. Plus there are other closers still available. He will probably have to sign a one year deal somewhere to prove himself.

He's still recovering from Tommy John and there are other options like Rafael Soriano still on the market.

He is coming off his 2nd Tommy John surgery

He's just a relief pitcher, and he's severely injured. He's just not that special, and he'll probably demand more money than he's worth just because of his notoriety.

He wants a lot of money not a big market for closers.
