Why do I get shaky when im on my period?

well to start, I dont have regular periods ,maybe every 6 months i have one but i still get awful pms symptoms every month that cause extreme fatigue hunger thirst dizziness horrible mood swings and so on...well when i actually get a period I get shaky a week before and during my period...the weird thing about it is I only get real shaky when I do something like take a shower or fix something to eat make my bed just any physical activity brings it on reallly bad, the second I sit down it starts to go away..it also makes me feel week and like im going to faint. I know my hormones are unbalanced but would that make me feel this way? What is it about periods that does this? ive also been gaining weight consitently , ive never had a problem with my weight or period or feeling this way until 4 years ago after I had a miscarriage, i have an app in febuary but I wanted to get input and wonder if anyone else has this problem?

The immediate thing that comes to my mind is your iron level. Specially that your body has such irregular periods, it probably comes to a shock when a period does arise. I imagine that you eat properly. But its great to have your iron check a week or two before your period is about to show up. The weakness and shakiness could be many things, diabetes, low iron.. ect. Also, it sounds like anxiety to me. Which I assume you have because of all that takes place for you with surrounding your period. I want to say monitor your diet, and fluids. But that would be cliche. Suggest to your doctor that you WANT an iron test two weeks prior to your menstration. Tell him/her that its worth a shot, because doing this won't hurt you and that you are trying to understand your shakiness/weakness, as you feel it is linked to your period. Best of Luck!!

Shaking when hungry is most likely a sign of low blood sugar levels. Since you say this was brought on by changing your diet to gain weight, you probably are taking on too many sugars in a meal, the spike in sugars is putting your insulin levels out of whack. Cut back on sugars and simple carbohydrates. You may consider eating more often. Mention this next time you go to the doctor. Look up hypoglycemia. Learn about how diabetics use diet to keep their blood-sugar more stable.
