My Original 2012 Wrestling Awards?

Wrestler of the Year: CM Punk. Just the fact that he's held the most prestigious title in professional wrestling for over 400 days qualifies him for this award. Plus he actually is the best wrestler in the world.

Women's Wrestler of the Year: AJ Lee. I know she didn't wrestle all that much, but she's the most relevant a WWE diva has been for year.

Worst Wrestler of the Year: I will now take a break from having the list be just WWE to switch to TNA for this one: Garrett Bischoff. That man should be nowhere near a wrestling ring. The only reason he's in the industry is because of who his dad is. I would say Tensai for this award, because he's a complete failure, but I've seen what he's done in Japan and I know he can actually wrestle. They just gave him a horrible gimmick.

Future Legend: Tie between Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins. When it's all said and done, they will go down as two of the best professional wrestlers ever.

Rookie of the Year: Antonio Cesaro. I would say Ryback or Damien Sandow, but they've both been under contract with WWE for the better part of 6 years, so technically not rookies.

Tag Team of the Year: Team Hell No. The WWE tag team division is relevant for the first time in years, and it's led by an unlikely pairing of Kane and Daniel Bryan that work tremendously together. People finally care about Kane again.

Worst Tag Team of the Year: Hornswoggle and The Great Khali. No explanation necessary.

Most Likely to be Released/Retire in 2013: Released: JTG and Ezekiel Jackson. Retire: Mark Henry

Person to Watch in 2013: All three members of The Shield. I think they're a stable that will stay together for quite a while and most likely add more members, like Brad Maddox or even CM Punk as a leader. I also think we should keep an eye on Drew McIntyre. Whenever 3MB breaks up, I think he'll be the one that turns face and I expect him to be a future World Heavyweight Champion. That part probably won't happen in 2013, but it will eventually. I read that Triple H believes McIntyre and Michael McGillicutty are the future of the WWE.

Match to Look Forward to in 2013: CM Punk vs. The Undertaker. Apparently many top WWE officials, Triple H included want this match to happen. They've even discussed having it be for the WWE Championship, but that most likely won't happen.

Shocking Moment of the Year: For me it was Sheamus winning in 18 seconds because I expected that to be a really good match that would go at least 10 minutes.

I will answer these from WWE and TNA wrestlers. Most of us here only watch those two promotions:

Wrestler of the Year: Austin Aries. Went from mid-card "nobody" to main event/World Champion caliber performer everybody knows now.

Womens Wrestler of the Year: Brooke Tessmacher. A "rookie" who took TNA's Knockout Division by storm, winning the KO Title, getting involved in high-profile feuds, and is a regular on TV.

Worst Wrestler of the Year: Santino Marella. All he does is the same few comedy moves and finish matches by putting a green sock on his arm and fingerpoking his opponents.

Future Legend: Daniel Bryan.

Rookie of the Year: Ryback. Mostly because of his impact and the fact that we went from curtain-jerker to main eventer practically overnight.

Tag Team of the Year: Chavo Guerrero and Hernandez. Tag Team wrestling in the "big leagues" is dismal, not a lot to choose from. Chavo and Hernandez gelled from the start and work well together.

Worst Tag Team of the Year: Kane and Daniel Bryan. It took them nearly the whole year to find their stride and actually become a real tag team. For two such very experienced veterans, that's bad.

Most Likely to be Released/Retire in 2013: Tensai. Cena-crushing monster upon his "debut" to getting beat by Santino Marella in about two minutes. He won't be around much longer (in the WWE).

Person to Watch in 2013: Damien Sandow and Wade Barrett (tie). Barrett's a future World Champ and Sandow is arguably the most entertaining mic-worker and heel in the business.

Match to Look Forward to in 2013: Wishful thinking: title unification match between WWE and WHC titles. Otherwise, Rock vs Punk.

Shocking Moment of the Year: Devon revealed as one of the leaders of Aces & Eights after supposedly retiring (as a popular babyface) weeks earlier.
