This is something I've suggested several times lately, but has anyone in your Family done your Family Trees?
If not this might be a good time to become your family's historian and discover your ancestors.
When you can go back on the computer, you will a lot of useful sites, and if your parents think you are doing some "educational and instructive" they may give you extra time.
First a large sheet of paper and put yourself at the bottom - first names, surname under. Beneath that put your date of birth and where born, beneath that name of your school.
Draw a vertical line up to an = sign. To the left of the sign your Dad's first names and surname under. Beneath, put his date of birth and where born, under that his occupation. To the right of the = sign, put your Mum's first names, under that her Maiden name, and birth details under that.
Over the = sign put their place of marriage and above that their date of marriage.
Now draw two vertical lines up - one from Dad and one from Mum leading to each of their parents (your 4 grandparents) - add details for these, making sure that the females are all given their Maiden surnames not married ones. Repeat this for your 8 Gt. grandparents, then your 16 Gt. Gt. grandparents.
Where ancestors have died, put this below their name and details, giving dates and places of burial, also adding the letters M.I. if there is a headstone with Memorial information about them.
There are thriving Family History Societies in Australia (and the UK for every County, if that your origins, although a problem with Ireland because many Records were burnt and destroyed during "the troubles") You can get a computer programme, e.g. "Family Tree".

Summer holidays in the middle of winter and it's too hot..? Don't know what planet you live on but here are some things you can do...
~Read a book
~Draw
~Colour
~Sleep
~Indoor exercise
~Go to friends house
~Play with your siblings (If you have any)
~Do chores and maybe get rewarded to extra technology time
How old are you? Less than an hour of technology is very small and especially on holidays. Ask you parents for maybe 2 or 3 hours a day.

My recommendations:
1. Write handwritten letters to your friends over seas (letter writing can actually be very deep)
2. Sell something to others that would cool them
3. Make the things you have to sell
(recommendations for items: Fan, cold drinks)
4. Get your history book and pretend the Countries are your friends (Eg you and your bickering friend are Russia and America because of the Cold War, )
5. Is there a beach near you?
6. Is there a park near you?
7. Teach your brothers how to (dance?) (sing?) (make videos?)
8. Create your summer movie
9. Create your summer novel
10. Think of things to make for your friends
11. Do you play any instruments?
12. Family time?
13. Try cooking (with who? Just be careful with your brothers and you if you are 13 below)
14. Think about your future. (if you're in the mood)
err that's all.
