Where (in Chicago) can someone take a class to be Certified in Child CPR/First Aid?
I know about the Red Cross and Heart Association, but I wanted something less costly, in the city and soon. Any suggestions? Thanks.

The cheapest nationally accepted classes are usually offered by the National Safety Council (http://www.nsc.org/Pages/Home.aspx), but they generally do not offer them as often.
The American Red Cross has a nationally-standardized pricing program and does not offer free classes for certification, although some chapters offer occasional free 'non-certified how-to' classes. (Red Cross instructor for over 12 years). In fact, almost all free programs are offered for informational purposes rather than for certification since a certified program has a certain amount of cost overhead to it.
The Red Cross also tends of offer the most frequent classes in the largest number of locations.
Of course, if an on-line program meets your needs, there are several to choose from- but be sure your job or school accepts their certifications first.
