  • Scion xB- handling in snow?

I'm thinking about getting an xB, but here in Nebraska we can get some serious snow, ice, and so on. The xB looks like it is pretty low so might get stuck a lot. How is it in snow, snow pack, etc.? Is there a configuration that would work well?

  • Songs like "Tenterfield Saddler", etc.

Although I am an American, I heard "Tenterfield Saddler" (Peter Allen) and "From Little Things Big Things Grow" (Paul Kelly) and really liked them.

Besides more from these two, are there other, similar songs I might like that I can locate from here?

    Thanks!

  • How would you pronounce Nane'?

Nane' is a place name in Brazil, probably Portuguese origin. I would like to use the word to name my pet Red-foot tortoise which might have come from that general area.

However, I don't have a clue how to pronounce it!

    Nay-nay?

    Nah-Nay?

    Nah-knee?

    Anyone have a good idea?

  • Would you prefer the dollar coin over a dollar bill?

The new dollar coins are coming out, and already there is not much confidence we will like them.

Personally, I am psyched. I'd outlaw dollar bills and pennies in a heartbeat if I could. They cost more to make then they are worth- which means it costs you and me when people use them.

Dollar bills are known to be able to carry disease, and many are already infected with things like Salmonella. They gum up vending machines, get washed, etc.

I cannot think of a single reason bills are better than well-designed coins. One typical argument is that a pocket of the coins would weigh more than a billfold full of the bills- but honestly, how often do you have more than $3-5 worth of ones on you?

    What do you think?

  • Metal disks availability?

I am looking for about 6 metal disks, like washers without holes. Size is not critical- around a 50 cent piece would be nice.

Metal should be steel or brass, and have a little thickness and heft to them- again, like a thick washer.

    Any ideas where to look?

  • Any formula or chart to help calculate how X teams can play each other at Y stations?

For the school's Field Day, we form several teams, and offer many stations. We want each team to visit each station and meet a different team there. Each year we have a different number of teams and of stations, and we figure it my hand- very time-consuming.

    Anything that will help?
