What is Repticon like? Apparantly it is a reptile convention?

I got invited to go to Repticon with some of my friends this weekend and, having never even heard of it before, am curious as to what we're going to do there. Will I be able to hold any snakes or lizards? Because I'd much rather do that then just look at reptiles in cages if that's what we're going to do.

Most of the repticons are vendors selling not only reptiles, but supplies, cages, food etc. Usually they schedule some type of talks as well each hour. Might be on care of frogs, a venomous snake demonstration (if they allow hots there) or about snakes in general. Many vendors will allow you to hold their animals and some won't. I generally allow people to hold the animals I have for sale if they are a species that tolerates it. I think you'll find it a lot of fun!
