Are the President's priorities straight?
We heard a lot this election about protecting seniors and their Medicare/Medicaid/Social Security. President Obama and the Democrats claimed that candidate Romney and the Republicans wanted so badly to "protect the rich," that they were willing to cut seniors' entitlement programs. I happen to believe that spending cuts (and a lot of them) are imperative to balancing the budget, but the President refuses to cut these programs. So…
Why does he spend 1 trillion dollars on a failed stimulus, research why pigs smell, give foreign aide to dictators and countries that hate us, bail out Solyndra, and then act all shocked when we don't have any money left? Conservatives want to stop all the spending that gets us to the bad situation in the first place so that we don't have to cut seniors' entitlements. If the President wants to protect these programs so much, why not secure funding for Social Security BEFORE bailing out Solyndra...

You are wrong in your assessment of what happened and what Obama and the Dems are doing. Yes Repubs would cut every social program including benefits under Social Security which may or may not affect seniors. I think social welfare is more important to preserve than warfare. The President wont reduce programs that helps take care of basic human needs in a civilized society of course not.
The stimulus did not fail, Congress never spent the entire $700 billion, and it is still working now for community programs like updating electric grids. Solyndra was only one green technology company that went bust out of hundreds of others that succeeded. Most new business requires government investment to get off the ground esp green technology.
Social security funding cannot be paid in advance. It is paid entirely from your payroll taxes.

His priority should be in doing whatever is necessary to result in a growing economy but now he's talking about immigration and gun control. He thinks infrastructure is the way to go but what needs to be done is to simplify our tax code to make us more competitive, to get rid of the needless regulations, loosen up credit to small business and housing, and get the government out of the way. We are at a 30 year low in new business starts.
Dodd Frank makes the banks keep a specified amount of capital on hand with very strict lending terms so Obama wants the government to make a $30 billion fund for banks to lend to small business and the fed is printing $45 billion a month for housing loans. All loans made using this money are directly guaranteed by tax payers. Have they regulated the banks so tight that they can't even function? Why does the government have to become the bank? Then he wants billions for infrastructure. What has changed that it seems nothing in our economy is working normally and the government is funding all our so-called growth?

Well, miss me yet,do you think Obama created all those programs you spoke of?Former presidents and congress created most of them and now that Obama is in the cat bird seat everything is his fault.Get real about politics. This mess wasn't created overnight and it sure won't be solve overnight either.SS would be in good shape if congress would stop robbing it and leaving IOU's Medicare is a different story. We need to get a handle on it and the only way is to bargain with the medical people, insurance companies and drug companies. That's where the cost is.I get my meds from the VA and that government agency makes the drug companies get right on their prices.Medicaid is a problem that can be solved by the government getting in the field and making sure whoever is drawing it is entitled to it.We've got a lot of people taking advantage of the system knowing nobody will check on them.

Obama is destroying the States. He spends and wastes and ruins. Look at the turmoil brewing in the world! China is aggressive to its neighbors. The Arab countries are seething. There will be wars and much suffering because of Obama's weak foreign policies.

He is focused and continues straight on course. Our problems lay in understanding his direction and focus. Because it surely is not on what he allowed folks to think.
Notice everything you've placed down HAS NEVER been actually promised. You've, me and the rest of us have been purposely caused to think that ---IF the GOP is doing and desires XYZ? Then surely the Dems want the opposite. Without the Dems or Obama having to affirm what they are for or want.

as a democrat, the answer is yes. he has mastered the ideology and espouses it regularly.
as a president, the answer is no. he should be more compromising to help the whole country, not just his partisan selected crowd.
since he is indeed president, my answer is no. his priorities are skewed and biased, his agenda is non-existent, his decisions are make-shift and reactionary, and it's not a surprise all of this has moved us into a giant mud hole.

Yes he spends all his time trying to undo what Bush did but it's kinda hard even for an amazing intellectual like Obama to undo the deep hole Bush put us into.
