How to make money selling stamps for a beginner?
I have a collection of stamps from Germany that I would like to sell but I have no idea if they are even worth anything. Are there any useful websites where I can find out and learn more about the stamps I have? If they are worth a decent amount of money, where would be a good place to start selling them?

First, the bible of stamp collecting is "Scott's Stamp Catalog" You have to buy that. A quick search brought up this blog that might help you out:

You can also use Ebay to search for your stamps and see what people are asking for them.
Be aware that most new stamps are worth face value or a bit more, and most used stamps are worth a nickel or less. Certainly common postage from all countries are like that. It's only the old and rare that have great value. You never know, your collection could have something. Look over those things and learn about stamp quality, too. It will take you a while to value a bunch of stamps, one by one.

You have a few good ideas, I wouldn't make cookies if your friend is making cake things. You wouldn't want to be competition to your friend. I kinda like the bracelet idea, you could make them for girls and boys so your market isn't limited. You could make shirts, sell gum/candy/ipod cases <-- worked great for me!
