Why doesnt my laptop charge?
I have a Dell Laptop. It wont charge and when i take the charger out in turns off. The little batter thing thats suposs to show me how much it has charged isnt there. All there is , is a picture of a the end of a charger. I think it says it running on the charger. do i have to change the settings? If so, how?
It says " alternating current"

your battery is dead (or not there)you need to buy a new one (or check the connectors to make sure their making contact with the battery/system)

You either have a really old laptop, a "new" battery you got off of Amazon for $5, or the laptop is missing the battery altogether. Most likely however, it's because your battery can no longer hold a charge. Either way it's time to get a new battery!

I had that problem too, before you buy a new battery or computer try a new wall charger.

i've got not got a answer, yet I even have the comparable concern! i presumed it replaced into only me. I even have been thinking approximately changing the charger too (i'm thinking it particularly is a port subject). i could like to understand what you decide on for.

What you have is dead battery.Dead battery can.t be charged.So what you need to do is to buy new battery.
