i really like charles owen helmets, but that my personal preference. i think it really depends on what you like and what you are looking for. i would recommend going to your local tack shop and look and try on all the helmets that appeal to you. also finding one that fits your head right is really important. :)

IRH, GPA, Charles Owens. I don't care what anyone says about something looking fancy isn't the always the best. THEY ARE. all three are made with better quality material and are definitely safer! I never recommend troxel. so many bad experiences with that helmet. it is cheaply made and ill fitting. People who jump anything over 3 foot are 95% time wearing those helmets. if you hit the ground in an ovation, troxel, or aegis ,you are going to want to throw that helmet away. I am being completely serious. once any helmet has been hit, you need to throw it away, but definitely with any of those brands. I work at a retail store and I've seen how all of these helmets are made and how well they work. I prefer IRH cuz I'm broke, but if I had the money, I may think about getting a Charles owens, but I love my IRH

i use a troxel helmet. i just looked them up they are the best helmets for eventing. i fell off and hit a wall and i did not get a concussion. that is how safe those helmets are. the visor on them falls off though so you might need to replace the helmet every year or so.
