I have a tooth which has a bug hole in and it has turned black. it hurts and i made an emergency appointment?

Today. what do u think will be done and how much will i have to pay. i read that a root canal treatment costs around £400 at a private dentist. how do i know if my dentist is private or NHS? I have the HC3 form which lets me have dental treatment for maximum £12

    You have a cavity. Relax

I'm only 15, so I'm not sure about the money issues. But I can tell you what will happen.

He will drill around the walls of the whole to take out the cavity. That can be a bit painful, but it isn't THAT much (I had a large cavity when I was 6, taking THAT out was painful for me at the time, but it shouldn't be for an adult). He will then fill it with filling, some stuff that prevents it from cavities happening on the tooth in the future (why can't we get that on all teeth, right?) He will check out the other teeth to make sure there's nothing wrong with them, and let you go. Simple.

Source(s): I'm pretty sure that that's what's up with your tooth.

Why don't you just ask your dentist when you make your appointment? Seriously? Why wouldn't you do that? At least ask when you go to pay. But if your tooth has a hole and is turning black, I'd get to the dentist as fast as possible before you die or something...
