I have a BT Decor 2200 answer phone when some one rings me it cuts off after 3rings and goes?

into answer phone I want to extend this to at least 12 rings so I have time to get to the phone,I am now on virgin cable as Bt broadband was so slow,would apprreciate any help

    phone company voicemail? call the provider and ask them to extend the amount of time the call rings before the voicemail answers..

    for an answering machine check the manual for how to extend the amount of rings before the answering machine picks up, but generally there are only 3 settings, 2 rings, 4 rings and TS (toll saver) that will ring 4 times if there are no messages and 2 times if there are messages...
