so other day i ran over muffler and called insurance but found out i would have to pay too much so i cancelled it and paid for one myself so now they are making me pay more money because i called they didnt even come check car and when i cancelled it the lady said thats fine so does that sound right about them having me pay more

That doesn't make sense. If your accident happened "the other day," your rates would not have gone up already. Call your insurance company and ask them about it. Your rates go up for all kinds of reasons - sometimes, just rate changes that have nothing to do with you. Some companies do increase rates for at-fault accidents (when you strike something lying in the road that is an at-fault collision) on which they have not paid anything, but not all do. If this is related to your accident, I would shop for a new company but you'll never know unless you ask them.
