SEVERAL actors have played the McDonalds mascot. Willard Scott was the first Ronald McDonald (the debut came in 1963), but he is currently played by Brad Lennon. The recent Ronalds prior to Brad Lennon were Squire Fridell, Jack Doepke, and Joe Maggard.
Will the casting ever end? Probably not. But nobody's complaining!

It was willard scott firstly, but at the present time they have literally dozens of actors who play him in commercials for local and national use. I'm no longer one who judges people on their appears.
