Which Graphics Card to choose?
So I was going to order my build from newegg, when I though I should get a better graphics card, but i can't chose which one to use.
Radeon HD 7770 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N8...
or this GeForce GTX 550 Ti http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N8...
But if you have other suggestions of a graphics card that is under 130 dollars, do tell me, and tell me if it is better then one of the options.
Thanks in advance.

Nvidia usually makes better graphics cards than AMD but for this comparison i would have to say get the 7770 even though the fps isn't as stable as the 550ti it does have a higher performance and better over all clocking capabilities plus the core clock is 100Mhz more ( 550ti = 900Mhz while 7770 = 1000mhz) plus (i'm not sure) i heard somewhere that if you want to ever dual cards (which you'll probably have to do in the near future because games are become more complicated and need more video memory) the 7770 is better for it. But i must admit Nvidia is more reliable ( i was owner of both companies but i stuck with Nivida i'm currently using geforce 660ti 3GB) even though radeon is higher performance it doesn't always stay at its max potential but it's your choice because everything else is the same if you want less performance less cost but slightly higher reliability then choose 550ti if you want max performance, overclocking, better dual carding at a slightly higher cost choose the 7770! In all honesty though, mostly if you want to game, i would suggest putting a higher budget on your card.
Source(s): there is a chart on the bottom of this website that compares them www.techpowerup.com/reviews/AMD/HD_7770/1.html plus i'm pretty sure if you browse the website you'll find a review for the 550ti as well good luck and i hope your computer turns out ok! - Anonymous4 years ago
£seventy 5 is approximately $116. the 4770 expenses approximately $one hundred and has gotten stellar comments everywhere in the cyber web. the persons at anandtech say its the best finances card around. regardless of if, it does require exterior ability (2 6-pin pci-e connectors, i've got self assurance) and a 450W minimum psu. the persons on an identical internet site propose the BFG Tech LS sequence LS-550 550W psu as an excellent finances ability grant. you need to nevertheless purchase a 4670, yet 1gb of memory is overkill. on the settings that should definitely require that plenty memory, the 4670 isn't useful sufficient to grant playable (30fps+) physique costs and gddr4 isn't nicely worth it. it isn;t that plenty quicker or greater ability-effective that gddr3. that's why ati went with gddr5, which delivers two times the documents fee of gddr3.

Refurbished 6870 Radeon. Much better than both
New 6850 $125. Still better than both

Either way, I would not go with the 550 since it's so-so at best, and loses to the 7770 also

I'd get the Nvidia one, power wise they're basically the same, but Nvidia has WAY better driver support than ATI.
