Can i use the nexus 7 as a mobile phone?

I've got an awesome 3(three.co.uk) plan, unlimited data and 5000 texts with 200 mins and im wondering if i buy an unlocked nexus 7* would i be able to use my sim in it and make calls and text and just basically have a giant phone?

No. SIM cards sold for tablet use do not include phone numbers nor do the tablets have the radios for phone capabilities.

Those are ordinary Nexus 7s. They are available with cellular data as well as wifi options.

No, I have a nexus 7 and im using it now actually but it isn't a phone, so it doesn't do stuff like a phone would, like calling someone or texting

Normal nexus 7's don't have cellular connectivity. The cellular version can't do the calling thing. It can browse or make skype calls by the way.

Nope, you can't. It's a tablet without calling and texting options. You can use data though putting your SIM in.

but as a real phone no because its a tablet
