In Yu-gi-oh if you sum a monster and your opponent does nothing. then activate your monster's effect.....?

In Yu-gi-oh if you summon a monster and your opponent does nothing. then activate your monster's effect. is your opponent allowed to activate bottomless trap hole. i was under the impression that that card must/can activate in RESPONSE to a summon not an eff. and if he or she is allowed to activate it, does that also negate your monster's eff?

You always ask your opponent if they have anything for everything you do if you asked him and he said k then he can't but if you didn't ask he is entitled

Sometimes when you summon a monster the opponent maybe reading the effect inorder to decide whether to use traps or not so its best you ask first if the opponent is ok with the summon once they say yes and you continue to use its effect then they can not change for if they do thats cheating and will result losing the match.

On the other hand if you didnt ask or wait for the opponent to respond then he can activate hole.

    Hope I helped

if you summon a monster with an effect such as elemental hero prisma, they must bottomless when you summon the monster, however if your refering to a monster that activates when its summoned e.g elemental hero stratos you as a player choose to activate its effect when its summoned, your opponent then can activate bottomless in response to its summon and no bottomless does not negate anything.

No he can't. Bottomless trap hole isn't a counter and thinkingyour already sum the monster. He can't use it. He had his chance. This game is about concentration and thinking fast. If he didn't do anything when the monster was sum he can't do anything now.
