How do you know if you have gingivitis?

I'm 13 and my teeth hurt sometimes, they bleed rarely, and I'm losing bone in my teeth. I'm not sure what to do.

You have gingivitis if your gums are inflamed. The easiest sign is if they are bleeding when you brush or floss. What you should be doing is brushing with a soft tooth brush twice a day, and flossing at least once. Look up "brushing bass technique" on youtube for a proper explanation on how to brush. After you take proper care of your teeth for a few weeks, the gingivitis should take care of itself.
