Who will go down this season, Newcastle, Wigan, Aston Villa, or Southampton?
It's a given that QPR and Reading are relegated.

I think the loser between Southampton and Aston Villa, this Saturday, will be an indicator or which of those teams wil go down.
I agree with BBC article about what teams need to do what. Aston Villa need to sell Darren Bent. They paid way to much for him and they need to get 2 or 3 players instead with a bit of experience.
Southampton need a decent Keeper and a bit more in defence.
Newcastle are in real trouble. Especially with Demba Ba gone. They need new players.
Wigan look OK - if they can keep their key players in the team.
The problem is that a lot of clubs are chasing the few players available this time, such as Modou Sougou
So it all depends on the transfer market. I would say Southampton to go down if I had to choose right now. We will know better next month.........

I think Queens Park Rangers can pull back and stay up with another signing or two in this transfer window with the club having a top manager But Reading will manage to go down without the lack of Premier Ship Talent players and Coaching Staff.
I can see Newcastle going down after being on poor form and going downhill since losing Demba Ba with terrible results such as a 2-0 defeat to Championship side Brighton in the FA Cup Third Round.
Aston Villa also looks likely to go down with terrible defense of late after suffering a 8-0 defeat to Chelsea what will also worsen there goal difference which could be vital at the end of the season. (20 goals conceded in the League since the start of December 2012).

Don't believe Newcastle will go down with the investments they intend to make this month.
I would say Southampton could go down, they have a very difficult 2 months coming up in the fixture list with games against Everton, City, Chelsea, and Utd which will be mentally straining. They showed goal scoring prowess early in the season but their defense has been very poor. Wigan should hold on as usual.
