what's wrong with yahoo mail?

I have the same issue mates. I have been using yahoo as my primary account and this is not the only time i have got frustrated with yahoo mail. mostly with its flashy updates. If you are listening Yahoo! what we need is a convenient email service. Making it more flashy at the cost of a jerky mail service wont do. Gmail is not flash at all but it seem to be able to help us with most of our needs as email users. We are grateful to Yahoo! for its mail and we still stand by it. But if you cant mange the flashy upgrades please, please , please add a feature where we can go to previous versions. I would be much happy to work with them than to go through the hassle of working on flashier versions.

Same problem here! I have two yahoo accounts and cannot enter a subject matter or a message. The only way I can get an address entered into the addressee box is to do so from the contact list. I do not have time for this.

There seems to be a basic system bug that Yahoo are still working on ... in the meantime ... using IE, the fix is to go to "Tools" and switch to "compatibility mode". The cursor will then reappear in the subject line and you will be able to type end edit as usual.

No fix for Chrome yet.

I just did this today after finding this info from 4 years ago.

When i write an email and place the letter of the name on the "to" line-my address book comes up-

i check the name I want BUT it does not go on the "to" line.

I can't even copy and past from the address book either.

i can't send email unless I enter the entire address every time.

when is yahoo going to actually answer a question????????

I'm so sick of killing time trying to get yahoo to work for me.

YAHOO expects the community to answer questions only YAHOO should answer.

A couple of days ago there was a brief outage that effected a very small number of users. Since I cannot replicate this problem in your account currently, and see you've since sent mail and received mail, it seems likely you were temporarily effected by this outage.

I assure you the nature of the problem has been fully repaired, and you shouldn't experience this issue again.

Consistently can not access Yahoo mail. This is very annoying and I hope that I don't have to go

to another carrier.

Where is Yahoo!? Why is this happening at all? Every time Yahoo updates messenger it will force its toolbar or its friends software to be installed (even you say no). Now, I cannot send message to get Yahoo voice service refund.
