Vegas Birthday Surprise for 25 year old Boyfriend?

My boyfriend is turning 25 in march. we are able to stay with some friends at the Cosmopolitan Hotel. I am trying to think of a few fun idea to surprise him with. He treats me so well and always goes above and beyond I would like to do to the same for him. To give you an idea of him, he is pretty laid back and likes a good beer.He doesnt like the idea of indoor skydiving and he gambles a bit..

Update:

It is in March

Since you are 'staying with friends'...the SPECIFIC days would help...because things are always happening in town that affect rates, availability and the 'theme' of things that are happening here...but without that we'll have to best guess what would excite a 'laid back beer drinker'???

First, though, the cosmopolitan isn't a great property for a 'laid back beer drinker'...in my opinion. I'd probably have booked a room 'for him' or 'for the two of you' at the Monte Carlo...which has it's own brewery, is a bit fancy and laid back at the same time (less glitz and fewer 'overpriced' restaurants).

Second, a spill over from my last comment...if you want to do something 'special' for your boyfriend...why would you be sharing a room with another couple...unless the four of you are 'into each other' a bit more than most couples(?)...don't have to say so here....but, if you're here to 'surprise' him...wouldn't a bit of privacy for the two of you be sorta important that night? That's why I'm recommending that you get your own room.

Third, you must be 'locals' since you said you want to 'surprise him'...but you'll be a friend's hotel room at the Cosmo. If you were coming to Vegas to meet friends, it wouldn't be too much of a surprise that you're doing something for him...if you've already brought him to Vegas to start with. So, with that said...there are 'lots' of local specials available to you...have you checked them out? Some include hotel rooms, some are special show ticket deals...especially on certain nights. If you provided me/us with extra details (budget, specific dates, just the two of you...or all four?)...then I/we would be happy to help out with that as well.

Fourth, is he a daredevil and you are looking for a thrill ride, just not skydiving...or are you saying 'nothing daredevil type at all for this guy' and so you are looking for something exciting but not a thrill ride thing. Maybe a helicopter tour up/down the strip, of to the grand canyon? Maybe just a limo ride to the Welcome to Vegas sign for souvenir pictures and then to a dinner and show for the night? (thinking that is probably best)

Fifth, it is in March...so warmer, but depending on the time of the month...the pools may be open...but the temps may still be 'borderline' for hitting the water. Is he a swimmer, would a property like Mandalay Bay and it's wave pool be a better choice than Cosmo? Cosmo has a nice pool (pools) but they are less/play pools and more 'maybe get wet, but more hang poolside' style pools. The Palms, MGM, Hard Rock, Encore, etc have the better 'drink and have a good time' style pool parties in town.

***Just a few tips, as I ramble off random thoughts on a Sunday night***

You can do just about anything in Vegas. There's everything from club hopping in a limo to driving a sports car. What does he like to do?
