People always add the word "magic" in front of anything that is not logical. To anyone who does this, please stop doing that. There is nothing magical about any abilities.

Well, to answer your question, it depends what my ability/abilities would be.

If it would be something that does not need to be used often or is not very helpful, but is not evil and not good either (for example telekinesis or knowing certain things without having to ask), then I would probably just use it whenever I wanted to.

If it would be something of use, but that can be used for evil things (for example the ability to destroy things at will without touching them), then I would probably keep it hidden and only use it when absolutely necessary (for example to save someone's life).

If it would be something of use, but not evil (for example healing), I would heal people that would need to be healed. I would try to keep it relatively hidden (heal friends or family, strangers only when unconscious or sleeping- basically, so they don't see me) because if too many people would know, it could lead to problems.

Depends on what the power is. If it's something like regeneration/healing, I would be out there day and night working in hospitals. If it's something like I can make your face explode if you don't do as I say, then I probably would use it as a reason to be lazy and get what I want.

Definitely use them. Magic isn't really magic, it is just the things we cannot understand and that we are in awe of.
