How do I deal with him leaving?
I must say first my heart goes out to all oft wives/ husbands girlfriends/ boyfriends baby mothers and baby fathers of military personnel. I've been talking to a guy for 5 months now and hes in the military(some may say a bad choice). Hes 25 and I'm 20, the age difference is not a problem us. Well he has received his orders and he leaves in July. We spend almost everyday with each other and do almost everything with each. Almost/ kinda like Oprah and Stedman (bc we dont have a boyfriend/girlfriend title (not my choice) By the time July comes we would have been talking for 11 almost 12 months. I guess my question is how do I deal with him leaving? How do I deal with it even when the time gets closer and closer? How do keep doing me but maintain sanity from missing him? How do i keep the relationship going while hes gone?

My husband and i have been together for 5 years. We got married last year and we have a 14 month old. He had to leave 3 weeks before our daughter's first birthday. I was horribly depressed for the first few weeks that he was gone. What helped me feel better was writing to him on my free time. Even if i wouldn't send him every single letter. It was nice to vent. I also talked to my family and his more. It helped me feel less alone. He came back for 10 during Christmas and new years and had to go back. It sucks. I cried every night for this past week, but I'm feeling better knowing he's safe and making new friends. We can talk and text for a few hours a day so it's not that bad anymore. I try to keep myself busy but sometimes i really miss him. I do cry sometimes, but it's ok. Crying wont get him home sooner but sometimes it helps. Just try to keep busy and look forward to spending time with him when he comes home. :)

Try your best to keep in touch. Write him often and find out if they have cell phone or computer access.
