Feeling the need to cry, but can't. HELP!?
I believe I have depression, yet have never been looked at. At the moment I have been feeling the need to have a massive cry. I have it for most of the day, but leaves for an hour ( twice a day it leaves) and then comes back. But the problem is I can't! The best I can do is a single tear. What can I do?
I have tried reading sad stories, watching sad movies. It just makes me more sadder.
Onions only sting my eyes and yes drops do come, but the sadness is still there.
Thanks anyway guys

I think a person can come to a point that they can't cry when they're emotions are so pent up inside and left unreleased for a long time, at this point, trying to cry isn't the answer, because inside, you are already crying, there is a lot of sadness trapped inside, you need to find out what is making you so sad, so that you can release that sadness and allow your emotions to flow naturally again, is there anything from your past depressing you? Are you unhappy with your life? Or is someone doing something that is hurting you? Whatever the reason is--- you need to find it, face it and tackle it, then you'll feel a lot better!
Good luck! =)

You are probably going to think i am a few cards short of a full deck. I often have trouble expressing emotion and some days i feel so sad that i worry my chest is going to explode. On those days, the most helpful thing for me is to shower. I dont mean scrub and get out. Turn the hot water on and completely immerse yourself. Sometimes when we cant find our own tears, letting the water cry for us is the next best thing. I hope you get some relief. The water wont tell on you and if your eyes are red, you just got out of the shower, no one will notice.

Hey there. It's hard to deal with that feeling of wanting to cry to let out your feelings but not being able to.
You should take a look at this site. http://www.wikihow.com/Cry-On-the-Spot
It's for acting but once you get started (properly) on fake crying your 'fake' tears will soon become real tears.
Good luck!

I hope this doesn't sound stupid but you could always try peeling some onions and purposely smelling them? As you know you tear up naturally when preparing them for cooking, so before you try anything else drastic go get yourself some onions at local super markets ;)
