Im getting text messages from a strange number...?

Hello

For the past 2 days I have been getting text messages from a number I dont know. The content of the texts are very explicit. If I dont reply then he would send me texts continuously until I do. Wen I do text back he asks me explicit questions.

I dont know what to do... I was thinking of phoning vodafone (my network provider) and see if they could tell where the texts are being sent from or some sort of information. Ive also thought bout going to the police. The reason being that even though Im 32, the texts could have been sent to someone under the age of 18 or someone vulnerable. Would that be a reason to go to the police? I dont want to be wasting their time.

Any advice would be helpful

Thank you

By the way, the only reason that I know its a male, is cause he has told me his name. Also, when Im txting him back its to ask where he got my number from, who he is etc ...

Some providers won't block numbers unless you've sought advice from the police. You need to ring Vodafone and ask what the procedure is for nuisance calls, or go into one of their shops and ask there. I still think you should consider contacting the police. Like you said he could be sending those texts to other girls who are under age or a little more fragile than you. I wouldn't under any circumstances give out any personal information to this creep and it would be best if you didn't text him back at all. I hope you get this resolved quickly.

It would be nice to know how he got your number!

Dead easy - report this perv to the police - they know what to do.

Now get yourself a new sim card with the same company if you wish.

How has be managed to send text msgs to you?

He simply dialed random numbers until he got a response.

Promise - you will not be wasting police time - show them the texts he's sent you if you've kept them.

You can browse through my Google search link below for more help and advice if you wish.

P.S. I had a similar problem a few years ago - went to my local phone shop got new free sim card topped up with a bit more pay as you go and wham, no more problemo.

The only downside is a) you do not really know who the text-perv is - there is always a chance it is actually someone you know. So, if you do get a new sim and number, don't give the number to everyone at once. Let the fuzz do their check first. Take their advice.

But defo report it to them.

Phone Vodafone and get them to block the number, or do it by your own phone, it's best just to ignore it. if you cannot do either then contact the police and say that the person is harassing you, as you have their number and it could have been sent or an underage person, i think their js a chance the police could take it up

The only time a physical compliment is expected and truly appreciated by a woman (unless she’s naked) is when you first pick her up for a date. Learn here https://tr.im/qR3m3

She has put forth a great deal of effort to look good for you and her efforts should be acknowledged. Tell her she looks pretty or beautiful; maybe give her a little spin while you appreciate her loveliness. Then stop. After that moment all compliments should be general, like “that’s fascinating”, “cool” and “awesome”. You will make a woman feel more attractive by letting her know that that she is interesting and special than you will by talking about her physical attributes.

Call Vodafone and ask to change your number - there is no charge if its because of nuisance calls. If you just call Vodafone and ask for their advice then they'll tell you the best way to go about reporting it, or they may even do so for you.

The number one complaint of women is that men don’t listen. When a woman is talking, listen to what she is saying. Read here https://tr.im/Zt5no

Don’t watch her mouth and wonder what it would feel like to kiss her. Don’t stare at her chest and imagine what she looks like naked. Really listen to what she is saying then give an intelligent response, preferably on the same subject.

Of course go to the police. That is harassment and he will get in trouble and stop. Or you can just change your number.

You can block the number with an app or have vondafone block it. It shouldnt be a big deal just some stupid kid.
