Is there anything i can do ?

My schools football workouts are just a couple months away. I think im to slow i have no stamina and im to weak to play my favorite position is there anything i can do before the season so i can go through with my dream of playing football. This is high school and im a sophomore. Is there any hope. I'm also just 5'7 or 5'8 and i really wanna be a 3-4 linebacker or defensive end like my favorite players von miller and jarvis jones.

Well first you didnt mention your weight. Defensive lineman have to be bulky, linebackers a little less. Neither are extremely quick players, quick as in CB/RB/WR speed. Just start going to the gym and your workouts will improve you. Don't put it off though! Don't skip a year, as you will regret it! At this level of football, you can get by fine without a 4.4 forty and being 6'5, but DON'T SKIP IT this year! If you start now, do what your coaches tell you and improve your strength and speed every year, you'll work up to starter by your senior year.

    Good luck!

My best advice for you this (and every) offseason is eat healthy, exercise by doing weight lifting, and either jogging or going for a long run every day. If you do these things, you will greatly improve your speed, strength, and stamina, as well as your chances of becoming a successful, top notch linebacker or defensive end in high school football, who could go on to play college football.

By the way, your chances of playing college football depend on your performance in football during your junior, and especially senior, year of high school. If you perform very well in football during your final 2 years of high school, you will greatly improve your chances of getting recruited to play for a college football program in the future.
