Yahoo recent policy change?

Yahoo Answers has changed recently. I have had quite a few excellent answers deleted (as against comm. guidelines. The ones that I appeal on I never get an answer to my appeal. And some even say: "..already appealed". What is going on????

Update:

I think there were 3 'already appealed'. One was an answer in the last couple of days so I couldn't have appealed. The Yahoo email was from Yahoo Canada, which seems strange.

Update 2:

Something is definitely amiss: I have just checked my mail and: Hi Raysor,

The question you asked on Yahoo! Answers was reported by the Answers community:

"Anyone looking for share tips?"

This question was deleted 11 months ago! ( a bit naughty, I admit)

"and" is right about the state of Y!A in general. We seemed to reach a critical mass of spam, trolling, and multiple-account abusers a while ago, and good users fought back. Site-wide, things have been starting to improve lately, although some sections are still cesspools.

But looking at your other answers, you seem to be a stand-up citizen around here. So in your case there is more likely a stalker at work. Step one is to appeal the violations, at least the ones that seem to allow for appeals. That might get some content reinstated, points restored, and most importantly, damage the stalker's reporting clout. Step two is to contact the Team via email to see if they can spot a pattern in the reporting abuse (y_answrs_team@yahoo.com) .

The ones "already appealed" is new. You may want to keep your cache files clean and that may go away. Remember, you can only appeal once per violation. As to time, appeals are taking weeks if not months. Your best gauge is not hearing from them, but if the post is put back. There has been no policy change just better enforcement of the rules which has caused the staff to be overwhelmed. If you want to know the reason for a violation (they will not tell you), post "Why was this question (answer) a violation?" and add the original e-mail you get (within 24 hours) and any added details you remember so the users can see the exact context. The experienced users here will explain it to you. There is no statute of limitations on breaking the YA rules.

It is my guess that more users are fed up with the trash being posted and reporting said trash and more users who are completely clueless about the rules think things have changed when in fact the only thing that has changed is they are getting reported for violations that used to be ignored.

in relation to WV, Obama is surely hurting Manchin's opportunities. West Virginian's like Manchin as Governor, and understand in 2 years he won't be able to run for governor lower back. In 2 years, this comparable seat would be attainable lower back (it particularly is in basic terms to fill the final 2 years of Byrd's term.) i think of, a large variety of West Virginians are the two staring at the two years as a large gamble to deliver a message to Obama, or as a 2 twelve months trial run to furnish Raese a large gamble at a temp activity, understanding that's replaced while Manchin's term as Governor is over. the two way, i think of in 2 years the seat would be Manchin's.
