    The most durable type of ink is that based on Japanese sumi ink. The type of pen is irrelevant as it's your handwriting that makes writing legible. Calligraphy ink usually contains sumi.

    Paper - I would recommend a paper with a high rag content. It is possible to buy what is called 'archive quality' paper.
