Can my work make me go to the hospital?
I live in Michigan and I recently turned 18. I work at a senior home in the kitchen and today while clocked in towards the end of the night, I was sitting in a wooden chair rolling silverware when the back snapped in half and I fell. I didn't feel any pain and ny hostess filed an accident report and asked me if I was hurt when she found out about 10 minutes later. I said my lower back felt subtly stiff and she filed an injurt report. A few minutes later I noticed that I didn't feel any stiffness anymore and I told her I wanted to cancel the injury report, so I don't have to make a hospital trip for nothing. It's an hour later and I feel normal, and I was wondering when my boss finds out tomorrow if he'll make me go to the hospital, even though I wrote him a note attatched to the report saying I'm fine. I don't work tomorrow. Do you think he'll make me go?

Yes, they can. Commonly known as cya (protect thy posterior).
Many injuries of this type don't show up immediately. IF you had further problems, and it was found out that they didn't MAKE you go..they could be liable for a lawsuit.
Its up to a dr to validate that you are fine. You should have gone.
