Have the flu...going to miss school?

My body really hurts, I can barely walk due to the pain in my legs. My fever was 102.8 earlier, and when the doctor tested me, turns out I have the flu. The doctor said I can't go to school for 5 days, but the thing is I have a quiz tomorrow. What should I do? Do you think they'll cut me some slack? I'm a university student, by the way.

You should get a Doctor's not explaining that you will not be able to attend classes/ seminars from whichever dates. Present this to your TA/ prof/ whoever as proof that you didn't just skip. Write to them NOW to let them know you will not be able to attend and quizzes or seminars. Ask for alternate dates and, for seminars, ask if you can do a written assignment. I missed a seminar once, and I just had to summarize the article we read, and write out some points on either side of the issue. They don't really care if you attend lecture, but you might want to contact a friend to take notes for you.

    Feel better :)

    I dont know your school.

Is every school and it's staff identical?

What do you think? It's not like anyone can answers this in a truly honest state. It's going to vary on the staff that work at your school and it's policies.

    .... Silly question.
