Have you ever cooked a new recipe, and been worried it would be gross but it turned out lovely?

I am a very nervous cook, I lost all my confidence in the kitchen and am slowly gaining this back, I tried a new thing for me yesterday, pulled pork, I was so worried it would turn out horrible and was delighted when it tasted great! Have you ever tried a new recipe that you had doubts about but it turned out better than you thought. I will most definitely be cooking pulled pork again, it was delicious!

Almost always things turn out good. Once I had one that was terrible and no one liked it.....even me. I have kept that recipe in my box and when I don't really feel like cooking I pull it out and say that's what's for dinner.....amazing how quickly it decided we should go out that day!!!! I call it my best recipe!

Yes, I have cooked new recipes and worried they would turn out gross but they were good.

More often, though, I have cooked things with great expectations that didn't turn out so good.

Yes! I was making these cocoa powder cookies, and naturally, my family usually spits out my food or wash out their mouths right after they tell me it tastes wonderful. Haha, I'm a cook that likes to think my stuff tastes good, and I'm mainly the only one that does, but they really liked the cookies.

    :D Made my day..
